Tras el ataque en el callejón, Rosie estaba de los nervios. Le estaba costando dormir, y el hecho de estar casi completamente sola en su casa no ayudaba de ninguna forma. Quizá por eso pasar algo de tiempo con su hermana le había venido bien, aunque después de asegurarle por quinta vez que estaba bien decidió que prefería seguir sola con sus pensamientos.
Sus padres mandaron una carta que la pelirroja respondió de vuelta, intentando no sentirse mal por el hecho de que ninguno de ellos decidiera que tal vez estaría bien regresar del viaje para estar con su hija. Su madre aseguraba que aquel viaje era de difícil interrupción, y que no le había ocurrido nada grave como para marcharse.
Lo único que realmente apreciaba de la ausencia de su familia en la casa Holloway era la invitación que pudo extenderle a Orion y Anelise el día de navidad. Su hermana la había invitado a comer, estaban conmemorando diferentes celebraciones, y pudieron intercambiar todos los regalos que no acabaron hechos polvo después del ataque del callejón.
Cuando la comida y la conversación de después llegaron a su fin, Rosie anunció que se marchaban y tomó a Orion de la mano para salir de ahí, a pesar de la mirada que le dedicó Jeanne mientras se marchaban.
Llegaron justo a la hora que habían quedado, a los pocos minutos Lise apareció también y Rosie se acercó para darle un beso en la mejilla antes de llevarla directamente hacia el salón.
—¿Te han vuelto muy loca tus padres?— preguntó, antes de reunirla con Orion —. He pedido que nos cocinaran un par de cosas, y hay chocolate a rabiar— comentó, mientras esperaba que sus amigos se saludaran fue a buscar uno de sus vinilos favoritos para ponerlo de fondo.

Ni en un millón de años se hubiese imaginado que aquello pudiese ser posible, pero después de sentirlo era imposible no querer vivir con ello. La satisfacción de ver a Rosie caer bajo sus manos, la forma en la que Orion parecía estar completo entre ellas dos, su propio pecho ardiendo por todo lo que había sentido. La magia corriendo por sus cuerpos, todo parecía tan real y al mismo tiempo no sabía que esperar.
¿Era solo la magia que los unía o iba mucho más allá? Ni siquiera tuvo tiempo de pensarlo realmente, porque las palabras de Orion hicieron que una risa melodioso escapase de sus labios. Estaba aferrada a Rosie tanto como era posible. Viendo a Orion tomar aire y pedirles más, esa simple frase hizo que ella misma notase un calor recorriendo su cuerpo, queriendo un poco más de eso que habían compartido y queriendo hacerlo eterno. Si se refugiaba en lo que sentía mientras estaban juntos, no tenía que darle vueltas a nada más.
— Vamos, el baño es un buen lugar para experimentar — respondió, mirándolos a ambos y tirando del brazo de Rosie para que los guiara. No importaba lo que fuese a pasar en los siguientes días. Esa noche era para seguir disfrutando del placer que podían darse unos a otros y Lise no dudaría en experimentar con ellos dos.
